Growth Partners

“You use steel to sharpen steel, and one friend sharpens another.”
Proverbs 27:17

Struggling to meet your spiritual goals?
Maybe you want to:
Read the Bible more
Understand what you read better
Learn to pray constantly
Challenge yourself to grow deeper and become all God intends for you to be.

Growth Partners @ CLC is all about those goals and more.

To foster spiritual growth we need to have encouragement, accountability and motivation to reach our spiritual goals.

What is a Growth Partner?
Two or three people meeting on a regular basis for encouragement, accountability and motivation

Why do I need a Growth Partner?
To provide accountability to meet spiritual goals
To provide support and encouragement for your spiritual growth
To provide intentional help to stay focused on your spiritual goals
To build strong friendships
To provide a regular time of encouragement and prayer
To provide growth and maturity in your relationship with Christ

What does a Growth Partner group look like?
A group of two or three (perfect size to make scheduling easy as well as provide personal feedback and support)
All members of the same gender
Might be members of same Community Group, a couple of people who serve together, or friends outside of the church
Partners choose when to meet, how often and where

I am ready to start reaching my spiritual growth goals, what’s next?
Pray: Who would God want me to approach about being a Growth Partner?
Identify some spiritual growth goals: What are the goals you want to reach?
Choose a Growth Partner(s): Who is someone who you can be authentic with? Who is committed to keeping you honest, on-track, and focused? Who is committed to praying for you, encouraging you and willing to speak hard words (in love) when needed?
Identify a schedule to meet, what time and where

This all sounds interesting, but I have more questions.
